Configure AudienceStore
This article provides information about configuring an AudienceStore connector.
To have AudienceStore enabled for your account and profile, contact your account manager.
Configure an AudienceStore connector
To configure an AudienceStore connector, you must have created at least one audience.
Use the following steps to configure an AudienceStore connector:
-
Navigate to AudienceStream > Audience Connectors and click Add Connector.
-
Locate and select the AudienceStore connector.
-
Click Continue.
-
Select an Audience to send to the connector.
Audience names must be fewer than 128 characters in length. Otherwise, DataAccess may trim the audience name and errors may occur.
-
Select the Trigger to send the data.
-
Click Continue.
-
Click Add Connector.
-
In the Name, enter a descriptive name for this instance of the connector.
Add Notes, if needed. -
Click Done, then click Continue.
-
Enter an Action Name.
-
Select one of the following for Action Type:
- Send Visitor Data to Bucket (All Attributes)
- Send Visitor Data to Bucket (Selected Attributes)
-
If you select Send Visitor Data to Bucket (All Attributes) for ActionType, there are additional steps, as follows:
- To include all event data for the current visit, select Include Current Visit Data. For more information, see Data sent to AudienceStore.
- To use AudienceStream attributes as keys in the JSON file, select Send by Attribute ID. By default, attribute names are used as keys.
- Map visitor attributes to column header names.
To format the data as a CSV file instead of the default JSON file, select Format Data as CSV (JSON if unchecked).
-
Click Finish.
-
Save and publish.
For more information, see the AudienceStore Connector Setup Guide.
After the AudienceStore connector is configured, the details page for the connector lists the actions, how many times they have been triggered, and their status.
If AudienceStore is later disabled, the AudienceStore connector will also be disabled. If AudienceStore is enabled again, the AudienceStore connector must be manually enabled.
After configuring an Audience connector, navigate to DataAccess > AudienceStore to view and download the JSON or CSV files. Each file contains visitor profile data (visitor and visit attributes). You can also use third-party tools to view the files. For more information, see View files.
