This document explains our feedback policy.
Our approach to product feedback
We always invite feedback from our customers and partners to identify features, ideas, problems, and opportunities to build the best possible products and maximize value for you.
How to give us your product feedback
Go to the Resource Center next to the Save/Publish button and click Submit Your Idea. You have the option to fill out the feedback form directly in the Resource Center, or click Open in Portal where you can review other submissions, up-vote, prioritize, comment, and subscribe to ideas as they move through the development process.
Tips for submitting your product ideas
To help our team prioritize your request, please give as much context as possible.
Here are some tips to submitting great ideas:
- Identify your current challenge.
- Explain how your idea solves this problem.
- Describe the primary goal of your idea.
- List the benefits of your idea.
- Share examples of other tools that do something similar to your idea.
- Compare and contrast the current functionality to how your proposed idea works.
Status definitions
Status | Details |
---|---|
Not Reviewed | Pending review from the Tealium Product Team. Your idea will be reviewed within a few weeks. |
Awaiting Feedback | We are gauging demand and gathering more information for your request. |
Planned | Your idea aligns with our vision and will be incorporated into the roadmap in order of priority. |
Building | The solution is currently being built out by our development team. |
Released | The solution has been released. See status message for release notes, help documentation, and details. |
Declined | A viable workaround exists or your request is not aligned with our product vision at this time. |
What happens after you submit an idea
Our Product team reviews all new requests on a monthly basis. Once a request is reviewed and acknowledged by our Product team, it is set to the Awaiting Feedback status. At this point, users can up-vote, comment, prioritize, and subscribe to communication allowing us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish the impact and value.
If we decide to build a feature or make an improvement, the status will change to Planned or Building. As request statuses are updated, you will receive email communication, allowing you full transparency into our development process.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it be before the product team reviews my idea?
Items are reviewed and updated by our product managers on a monthly basis. Make sure your ideas are clear and concise so others can vote on and prioritize it. Also, remember to prioritize your own requests too; that way, we know if a particular request is important to you.
Do I need to drive support for my idea?
Yes. In fact, we encourage idea submitters to drive votes and comments to their ideas. This lets us know what our customers really want.
How do I vote for, or snooze, an idea?
To up-vote an idea, click the thumbs-up icon. To snooze an idea, or indicate that you are not interested in it, click the ZZZ icon. Click the request to see the total number of votes and snoozes.
Do I have to select a product area when I submit an idea?
Yes. Product areas help us organize the ideas into categories. It also helps our product managers get notified that a new request has been submitted.
How soon can I expect my idea to be implemented?
That depends on the idea. If it is a significant feature, it could be some time before the feature is released. If it’s a minor enhancement, we will try to get your idea implemented sooner.
My request hasn’t been accepted yet. What can I do?
If we haven’t prioritized your item yet, and it is a high priority for you:
- Make sure it’s at the top of your priority list.
- Make sure your request is clear. Why do you need this? What is it stopping you from doing? What is the impact of that? Please add these details in a comment on your idea.
- Have your team members up-vote the idea.
